Self Publishing for independent filmmakers
I have gotten a lot of messages from other filmmakers asking how I liked working with createspace. They wanted to know whether they were easy to work with and is the final product a good quality. First createspace helps authors, musicians, filmmakers and other artists self publish their works. Then they produce the copies of books or dvds on an as needed basis.
I’ve always gone with a distributor in the past, but with our recent movie “Nine Grounds“, we opted to go with createspace and keep everything within our control. Well, the answer is we are very happy with both the quality and service. We sent off our original dvd and just a few days later they had a proof copy back to us. Which is amazing considering it was a one off copy of our movie. They used our uploaded artwork and it looked great. The quality of the movie itself was exactly the same as the quality we sent to them. Since they only produce dvd copies on a per order basis, I was expecting them to take forever to arrive. When people started putting in orders they began emailing me a few days later saying that they got their copies in a few days. I couldn’t be happier using their services. We have sold multiple copies and have had no complaints.
Let me here some of your experiences using CreateSpace.
